Hydrogen Sea

Birsen Uçar and Pieterjan Seaux are making a radical change for Hydrogen Sea’s new album ‘Automata’. Instead of making their music on the computer as before, they hired three new members in Patricia Vanneste (Balthazar), Joris Caluwaerts (STUFF.) and Steven Van Gelder (Tout Va Bien) and are going analogue. This hasn’t resulted in a complete change of style, but has instead allowed the band more creative freedom.

First single ‘Flogsta’ aims for the heart and the hips. Synths, drums, violin and Uçar’s voice create a unique sound, both warm and cold, big and small, playful and timid, all at the same time. Second single ‘Blackest Skies’ tells the story of a love that transcends time and space.

Birsen and Pieterjan’s music looks set to equal that love’s epic premise.
